Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 lbs pork spare ribs, thawed
- your favorite seasoning or rub – we used LF pork & chicken spice
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 to 2 cups LF homemade barbecue sauce or your favorite pre-made barbecue sauce
Instructions:
Cut pork spare ribs into individual rib pieces. Use spice rub and generously rub on all sides of the ribs. Pour apple juice into the bottom of the instant pot. Place ribs on top of apple juice. Close instant pot and set pressure cook to 20 minutes. While pressure cooking, make barbecue sauce. The LF homemade spicy barbecue is one favorite barbecue sauces but may be too spicy for some people.
Allow instant pot to release pressure naturally (self-venting) for 15 to 20 minutes. Preheat your barbecue to medium heat while the pressure releases.
Place ribs onto the barbecue and crisp up all sides of the ribs. During final few minutes of cooking, brush the barbecue sauce over the ribs.
Remove ribs to a plate and serve.
